Hi,

I would really like to try and braid each individual cable so they look neat and tidy. (only ones on show ofc)

What kit do I need to turn a normal cable (4 pin molex for example)

e.g, Heat-shrink, Heat Gun, Braid.. do i need any special tools to take then pins out of the connectors and to put them back in?

Many Thanks :)

personally i would practice on old cables - you dont want to ruin your psu on your first attempts, or even make some hideous braids and then you are stuck with them

anwyay - i;d suggest you get a cheap cable braiding kit and practice on some old cables

Yes I would try it on some cables old at first.

I have a Modular PSU so if anything does go wrong i can replace that cable.

Do OCUK sell these kits?

I have only seen this : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-044-OK&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=1690

Ollie, activate your trust and I will email you guide on braiding etc :) (click trust bottom of your post)

Even though your psu is modular, depending on the room in your case you can get extensions for your cables. As for braid and tools etc, mdpc-x is the only place we can name as it isnt really a competitor but it expensive. You will need braid for thr length of wire you want to do, plus heat shrink. As for a heat gun, I found a bbq lighter works well enough just be careful not to hold it in one place for too long as it will burn the braid and heat shrink.

Tool wise, some people use paper clips, pins etc to get the pins out but I did find the tool easier to use. For getting them back in just make sure the bits at the side are sticking out and clip back in. There are plenty of guides around on the internet.
