Hi I posted this somewhere before I think but cannot find it.

I want to know if anything like the EVGA Powerlink exists for other brands for clean cable management

I think the EVGA ones will work for any brand but it would be nice to hear back from someone who has tried it.

It would be even more useful if more manufacturers put the power connectors on the end in the first place.

Here is one EVGA did earlier.:)

But what about the people with little cases? They're going to want people to be able to fit the card in their case more than they will care if the cable management isn't quite as nice

This ^^^^^^ so much, I don't understand why the current placement is where it is. Maybe there is a reason but I wish they'd move it to the side

You can get very powerful small cards that have the power connector at the end.:)

As to the Kingpin I posted above, one of the drawbacks of the 980 Ti version was the power connectors were in the normal place on top, this made it difficult to fit in a lot of cases as the cards are very tall meaning you needed a very deep case.

Yeah it can go both ways, but in an ATX case it's usually a bit if a squeeze between a big card and those HDD cages. Used to be, anyway. But I agree that manufacturers should have a think about the card they are producing when they place those connectors.

I fall into that. Kind of... It was very handy for me to have the power connectors on the side. I could have still done it with them on the front side but it would require a lot of tinkering. Doable but more tinkering. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/30822346

I thought having the connectors on the back was a very popular design

My Radeon HD 7850 has them on the back

hope my RX580 does when it arrives

Never got the chance to use the Powerlink on any other brand than EVGA, if I get a chance I'll let you know if it works
