Cable Modem Router Recommendations please....

Fed of my Buffalo G54 poor wireless range now, although it runs dd wrt its very old now, must be nearing 7 years old i think!!! So i guess its been reliable lol

4 port router needed pref 10/100/1000 but if having 1000 is going to cost much more than i wont worry but would be nice as my 2tb nas is capable of 1000.

Be nice to have a good wireless range or at least upgradeable antennas.

Also be nice to run dd wrt again.

WRT320N + tomato. Antennae are internal but the range is good, and people have modded the antennae very easily. They are detachable, just the sockets are inside the case.

I have just got myself an Asus RT-N16 + TomatoUSB for my BT Infinity and it's fantastic. Around £100 with VAT etc. The router has 3 antenna that can be removed and presumably upgraded. The Tomato firmware also has some trickery for choosing the best channel and upping the power. At stock it seems to push out a great signal given it has to go through several walls to reach my room.

'won't work', how do you mean? The DIR615 with DD-WRT is megawin, especially at the price.

ive flashed it with dd wrt and it just doesnt transmit any wireless

flashed it back and still nothing!

Sounds like you need a new router

What exactly do u mean when u say that it wont work. have you done a FACTORY flash using dd-wrt from brainslayer.Dont forget to do a complete vram wipe using the 30-30-30 method before u flash.
