Cable question for output on monitor

OK i have the Asus VG236H 120hz and use it for gaming at the moment i have the DVI-D cable installed will i benefit more from a HDMI cable fitted?

120hz will only run over DVI-D and Display Ports. So, if you want to stick to 120hz, then stick to the DVI-D

For clarification with DVI 120Hz only works with dual link so as long as you're using a dual link cable (I assume one was supllied with the monitor) and a dual link output from the GPU then all's good.

Both DVI connectors on the GTX 580 are dual link so you should be able to use either.
