Looking that that picture now, the wire does look thinner then the one I received.

it looks the other way around to me, most of the thickness of the one you have seems to be sleeving

To me the cable you have received looks like it has clear sheathing, whereas the picture on CPC looks like some woven material. Quite possibly the cable could be the same thickness. Clear sheathing can make the cable look thinner, as you can directly see the copper inside.
