For those that are interested the angled adapters for the 12VHPWR leads are up for pre order, 90 degrees and 180 degrees and they can be configured to go either towards the front of the card or to the back.

I got the email the other day, and I like the tidy look of the adapter, but in all honesty I've got used to the look of my current cable setup and there will only be more risk involved having extra connections on a 600W cable. And at $40, think I'll give it a miss for now.

I bit the bullet and decided to get a 180 degree adapter for my 4090 with a EK waterblock and a coloured cable to match my other cables, and a second adapter for a friend which helps divide the delivery and import cost between 3 items and not just 1.

Bit too much for a whim purchase to tidy my 4080 install especially as it's not impeded by the cable at the mo. Maybe when they're sold direct or there's alternative competition.

yeah its about 2x the price inc shipping that would make me buy it, i already got a custom 12vhpr cable from them when i got the card so getting double dicked for more shipping not really needed :P

I too was going to order one, but the more I think about it, it seems like I don’t need it. My aftermarket cable fits fine, and additional points of potential weakness seem like a bad idea just to slightly tidy up the aesthetics.

I have the 180 degree one and there's just one problem with it: it's fractionally too big. It pushes against the CPU fan and there's a big gap - perhaps 5mm - between the backplate of the GPU and the connector.

Would the 90 deg one not be a better option, same as what I got?

Maybe, but it has yet to arrive. (I ordered both.) But I prefer the 180 degree adapters because they do a better job of hiding the cables.

BTW have you thought of routing all that tubing via the back of the case?

Your fans could do with a clean

It`s a shame it`s just too big, mine will be vertically mounted and I have water blocks so there`s less to get in the way. I haven`t had any confirmation of shipping for mine yet either.

I think the 90 deg would work perfect on yours with the big air cooler but obviously will have the cable on show then but they are nice cables so show them off :D

All hard pipes run to the distro plate on mine so fitting them round the back would be a nightmare and probably impossible due to lack of room as the back is housing a 3rd rad , PSU , Fans, SSD and many cables

Will be getting the cpulines dead straight when i delid the cpu , just at the time i put it together never had all the fittings i needed :)

insane lol. Both cabled and EK confirmed it wasn't. Oh well. I've been building this long enough now. Im done with getting more parts! Finally leak testing it
EK don't seem to know what will fit what tbh  they were on the Asus PC DIY FB page saying the ABP wont fit with the Z790 Hero either so had to show them the errors of their ways showing it does indeed fit :D

As for the actual adapter i was concerned it may not of fitted as i didn't see it listed for the EK blocks either but thought i would take a chance on it , its actually perfect and has plenty of clearance all around :)

Maybe at half the price but I don't really need one as I have room in my corsair 7000d airflow.
