One last question before I order tonight :) ...

Do the OEM SATA hard drives (and dvd drives) come with cables?

Sorry for the newbie question, but, better to be safe than have to wait another week ...

Nope, only retail boxed will come with SATA cables. However you should get cables with your motherboard if you are ordering a new one. :)
Thanks ... do you know whether the Striker Extreme has at least 3 sata cables? OcUK doesn't list the included accessories :(

I'm afraid I don't know offhand, you could look on the Asus website to see if it tells you. I'd suggest looking under the Global website as it is usually quicker to load than the UK one. :)

Alas, it doesn't unfortunately. This image looks promising, however. I think those red cables are sata cables?

The thin red cables are indeed SATA cables, I got ones that looked exactly the same when I bought my Asus motherboard a few years back. However it doesn't appear to have any IDE cables so I hope you have some of them if needed. :)

;)

Most mobos I've had come with enough SATA cables to populate every SATA port on the mobo. That photo makes it look like there's 6 cables which would make sense because there're 6 ports.
