Im looking into buying a small 80gb sata drive. The only thing putting me off is 2mb cach. The 320gb one i have now has 16mb cach. What does cach actually do?

Thanks.

Cache is small amounts of faster memory, think of it like being Ram on the hard drive which stores the files temporarily that the PC thinks you will need next. You should aim for at least an 8mb cache drive as the difference over 2mb cache will be noticeable, the difference between 8mb and 16mb is a lot less so.
