For a long time I'd been waiting for SSDs to come down in price enough for me to have a decent sized one as a boot and gaming drive. Never really fancied cloning or reinstalling my boot drive though, as with 2 kids I just don't have that much time to faff around.

Recently decided to grab a Sandisk Readycache 32GB drive to add in to my existing setup.

For £35, I'm very impressed. Really easy installation, no need to Clone O/S or reinstall. Boot time (to fully responsive and hard drive stops chuntering) has dropped from nearly 5 minutes to under 1.

Yes, it's never going to be as fast as a proper SSD setup but it cost less than a night out and took less than 20 mins to install. A great, easy upgrade for a W7 or W8 HDD based system (especially those like mine in need of a spring clean).

First impression is it's the best £35 I've spent on a PC since getting an Athlon X2 5200 and unlocking cores and cache to fully stable Phenom FX5200 x4.
