Cadburys World

yeah you just walk round and watch them make it, some hand on stuff, some history/mesuem type stuff. And you get given a fair bit of chocolate.

It's not bad, but certainly not good. We went ice skating afterwards to make it into a day out. As it doesn't take long. cheap broken chocolate though :D

I've been there once about 6 months ago, got some free tickets off a friend who is a chocolate scientist there.

It's ok, a bit kid-ish i guess. You get some free choc when you get there to nibble on when you walk round the museum and onto some of the production lines.

The best bit is the cadburys shop you get to at the end, stock up on the bargain bags of "mis-shapes"... yum yum yum :)

Awesome

Wasn't a tour when I went, you just walk around, there's a very strange and crappy ride inside. It was mostly a big disappointment considering the price of the tickets.

It's local to me, took the kids there when they were young but the part at the start with the story of Azteks etc is set in a jungle scene but it was just manikins whereas you would have thought they would have animated it, needs a touch of Disneyland animatronics to liven it up unless it's been altered since

Going to Cadburys World you would expect to get lots (or maybe a bit more than you do actually get) of chocolate, when infact you hardly get any, the only chocolate you get, is a small pot (about 4/5 spoon full) with a choice of toppings.

Then when you go through to the Cadburys tour, you each get a bag with 2/3 standard size bars of chocolate in. And thats it.

They is a section where you walk round the factory, and u get given a piping bag to draw on some marble table anything you want. You let the chocolate set, then peel off. But you are told, under no circumstances can you eat this chocolate, then you have to give it back, they remelt it, and pipe it up again :(

Good day out, but dont go expecting lots of freebies and chocolate!

The shop at the end, can be more expensive than standard news agents or even supermarkets, but they do a mis-shapes section, or chocolate that has come out a wrong shape to what it should be so they cannot sell um which you can get quite cheap.

what I was going to post, hugely dissapointed by the lack of choccy, not being greedy but only 3 bars of choccy?!!!

In these wonderful days of health and safety, you (the public) are not allowed near much the production - so you don't get to see much.

This apparently is to protect Cadbury from being sued by you when you fall into a vat of molten chocolate, to protect Cadbury from being sued by its customers when they bite into a choccy bar containing your careless discarded fingernail clippings, and to enable Cadbury to get you into the shop faster so you can spend all your money on not very cheap chocolate.

My mam took me when I was younger and I thought it was great.
It was near xmas and you basically got shown the chocolate making process. They have some cool things like Creme Egg shapped cars, things like that. Get lots of tastes of chocolate. I just remember not eating my tea as I felt very sick.
We went via bus. Can't remember what one we went with but I know Voyeger and Classic on the internet often do trips. Don't know all there pick up points thou.

Went there with my ex, her sister and her sister's boyfriend.

Was about 100 miles from where I live, in a diesel Fiesta.

Not the most fun drive, and we got lost because there was a tree infront of the road sign :(

The free cup of chocolate is ace, it is pretty big tbh. And you can get Cabury's choccy milkshake!

When I went (~1 year ago) They gave you a bar of chocolate at each part of the factory. We ended up with about 6 :)

If you're expecting camel lakes

NOBODY EXPECTS THE CAMEL LAKES!

I went a couple of times, not terrible. You get a few freebees, but its less than you pay to enter.

Gift shop is nice :D chocolate everywhere.

What did I learn? They make chocolate in factories. Factories are all noisy & boring places. knife goes in, guts come out.

biggest rip off ever... seriously 13 quid and you get a couple bars of chocolate free, and then tour the place (bournville) to see all these local brummies make chocolate infront of you but your not allowed to have any

until the very end where your given a tiny cup with a bit of chocolate in.

its more a kids thing, i was forced to pop in on my way back from alton towers :p
