Hi All,

Myself (S2000) and NickXX (e36 318iS) are off to Cadwell Park next Saturday for an open pit trackday... venturing away from Bedford for the first time!

been watching YouTube clips to get an idea of how to get round the track. Seems the common trend is videos showing what happens if you lift off and driving gods absolutely flying round!

If you search up s2000 cadwell park there is an absolutely perfect 'how to get round here at speeds you didn't dream was possible' clip to watch. ..... ..... ..... Honestly though ..... ..... ..... I won't be doing those speeds !

Shame your not coming silent bob, but we will definately be going to Bedford again soon. I'll do a proper thread on it, but my s2000 has been chosen by wheels in motion as their car to develop a proper 'race' geo and suspension setup.... Watch this space !
 
Insured for 11k to cover my mods the s2000 is 109 insurance for the day. I'll be taking it easy and getting some tuition and seeing how I get on.

Your in an ek9 civic aren't you ? You'll be fine !!

Competition car insurance, I think it's usually kim who does policies for me, and I have done enough now that she sees me as low risk.

I have watched a few videos now and I'm really up for this track now.

Anyone got a camera I can borrow to do some footage ?
 
Ace, great to see you both coming along!

Tim, already spoke to paradigm and offered up the passenger seat as has nick, so if you fancy going deaf listening to an f20c soundtrack your more than welcome :-)

Weather looks like it will be awesome so I'll be having plenty of roof down laps !!

Need to sift through the photos we got from the day and I'll get them uploaded.

Great day, involved me getting a new front right tyre and a MK2 MR2 rolled...

Housey, the mountain was fine I found, but the tyre walls and metal crash barriers call your name whenever the back gets loose !
 
Tim will obviously back me up here and say my s2000 easily lapped that fast.

I'll be respectful and have a 996 GT3 RS in white with blue please.

Thanks for those pics Tim, interesting you didnt think the suspension work was the best mod ;)

Yikes at those pictures Gobbo... don't suppose there were any taken of my S2000 at all? I have some i'm going to upload now that I'll link in here but it would be good to see what else was taken !

The marshall was running over the track (with me coming over the blind crest at near to 100!) as that MR2 rolled. One of the marshalls was saying later that on the same lap he nearly lost it coming into the barn complex, and they were shocked he hadn't learnt his lesson and backed off.

That SX was brutally quick down the straights but I didnt feel I was that far behind him through the corners.... any ideas on what mods he had done to it?

Me and nick are going to try and do a track day a month this year... So far I've done (318iS is me sharing with Nick)

August - Bedford - S2000
December - Bedford - 318iS
January - Bedford - S2000
February - Bedford - 318iS
March - Cadwell Park - S2000
April - Bedford - S2000

Granted I've not used my car each month, but if its no trackday, or a trackday in Nicks track car its not a hard choice really !
