Has anyone heard about it?

Cal-Lab Lightning Isolators for Power Line Communications

I understand that it just filters the noise.
Any experts? Perhaps one who have used this kind of device before?

Cheers.

That would be cool, to have broadband over a power line, in the US the power companies shot the idea down. :(

I dont think the website was talking about broadband over powerlines or anything like that, It was talking about home plug type technology which uses a houses wiring as a LAN, as an alternative to WiFi or laying ethernet cables.

As for lighting causing interferance, i don't see how as i would have thought lighting would be on a different circuit, and so make no difference to how using the houses wiring as a LAN would perform.

Well, I think it does not have to do exactly with the lighting causing interference, but with general electrical devices adding noise. I think the lighting part was in the original device (CLLI), then he thought and developed the PLC-CLLI using the same principle. (?)

Saw this thread, just managed to post a reply.
I am the inventor of this line of products, patents pending & PCT filed.
I do not want to be misunderstood as if I am trying to promote sales - products are not launched yet but beta-versions for investor evaluation-tests are available. PLC-manufacturers or distributors may benefit from it.

MiOB is right, PLC-CLLI is a series of Lightning Isolators to overcome the inherent problems associated with current PLC-adapters. problems such as being unable to be protected via a lightning protector, unable to share one power outlet with other equipment and low connection-rate (compared to advertised rate)

many vital details are available in this link: http.//www.cal-lab.com

I hope end users will get to buy it soon.
