calculate heat output, How?

Not knocking you at all just curious ........... why do you want to calculate the heat output. 
I'm pretty sure it will vary on how much work you are making each specific component do. Best way to monitor would be with a set of thermal probes I would imagine.

Have a play with that. Make a note of the PSU wattage before and after you add a component on that site. The difference is the approx power used by that component, which is "sort of" the heat that will be disapated, roughly.
