I thoroughly enjoyed Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, and this looks to be in the same vein. The developers have stated that it will feature a semi-open world with RPG elements, so it's not just your average linear horror game!

Also really looking forward to this. I played Bethesda's original attempt at this - Call of Cuthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth this year which I loved and hated in equal measure. Really cool game but so flawed and frustrating at times - still worth a go as it's fairly cheap now...

This looks pretty good if it ships on time just before Xmas could be a sleeper hit as that time of year is perfect for horror games.

Really want this game to be good still have the CD version of the last Cthulhu PC game safe & sound! However, no PC specs yet & the pre-order price is £34.99 on Steam & elsewhere even cdkeys its no cheaper I know licenced games are expensive but this uses Unreal Engine 4 seems a little pricey.

Yep, I was surprised that it was no cheaper elsewhere - my need for Cthulhu game is great though so I have pre-ordered it. If it's really bad I can always get a refund and if it's good hopefully the moolah will go towards them making another.

Not just this game no cheaper elsewhere I have noticed most upcoming PC games are no longer available cheaply looks like they removed the loophole of 3rd party cheap keys!

I've bookmarked this video to watch later, thanks. :)

I've never completed the first but it's one of the few games out there that creeps the hell of me (like Amnesia), so I probably won't play it again. It's good fun to watch others, though. :D

After seeing the recent dev playthru I would say buyer beware which is a real shame as it looked so good last year  When watching the devs play recently it was obvious the lack of animation frames is really noticeable looks like its coded on a tightly restricted budget development path with a small team & not enough resource for additional QA but now its launching anyway (probably publisher pressure).

Such a shame but it looks like the high price is to recoup the licensing costs more than anything else. The actual game looks pretty weak overall especially compared to The Sinking City (due next year).

It'll drop in price quickly I reckon

For sure its going to be half price in a few week's the game had a lot of potential but the dev & QA budget appears to have been cut back to get this finished & out the door. The Sinking City looks way better but not out for 6 months.
