I keep wanting to get a new COD game, but the last one I played was the original MW2. I feel like I'll just be rage quitting all the time if I did buy one.

They come out so often too, I don't have a clue which one is which now!

Personally not enjoying this at all. I purchased it on a whim after hearing from friends that this wasn't another rehash and that they'd actually changed things.

Nope....Same graphics, same gameplay only now you can hurl yourself into the air.

The movement controls suck, it's like playing with a bunch of frogs, entire lobby is just sliding and throwing themselves across the map. It's just so stupid.

And my usual problem with COD games is still there, the snipers....Most unrealistic **** I've ever seen, quick scoping - Why is this even a thing? It's impossible in real life, only it's now worse as people can throw themselves in the air and quick scope which is even more ridiculous, why does COD have this, no other game does?!

Apparently changing sprint assist delay from 400 to 0 helps with the movement, not sure if this is a controller only setting.

I was looking for graphics settings on YouTube and noticed that most of the people posting videos are using a controller despite having a PC. Personally I can't play FPS games with a controller, but am probably at a huge disadvantage.

It has helped with movement for me to enable the "tactical sprint assist" setting though, plus remove the associated delay as I think someone else mentioned here.

Think I will just be getting this on gamepass for the single player. The gulf war setting is something I think games haven't done enough of and could be really interesting

I’ll be buying it. At 36 my reactions aren’t what they once were but I still enjoy pulling out the sniper. Been enjoying the kar98 on rebirth island.

Usually buy the multiplayer to grind the unlocks and cammos before moving to WZ.

Have played a bit of the Beta on this and it is quiet fun if your just playing it for an hour here and there, they do eventually get boring though as same with other Cod games. luckily its going to be included as part of the xbox game pass ultimate which I have a subscription to so will end up playing it.

I'm finding it very laggy/stuttery and as usual it seems everyone else knows the mechanics better than I do. I'm getting my ass handed to me. Probably too old to be playing COD.

Practice makes perfect, that and matchmaking doing it's thing and putting us rubbish oldies all together

And as a lefty, I find the omnimovement harder to accomplish.

Installing now to give it a go, have a feeling it will be bad though. Looking at the comments on the community forum it looks like a jump/slide fest.

Not having any problems with m&k in the beta, did have to adjust to the style of play though.

Really wish these fps games would go back to having a server browser, it's frustrating getting the same map repeatedly. I have a pal who made a mouse macro to back out of games and rejoin with 1 button press to look for different maps !

Gave up, crashing on the start screen for me. Could be my CPU, suppose I should test some other games. The launching a launcher then launching the game really annoyed me. I probably wouldn't like it anyway.

I've just spent the past hour playing the BO6 beta. Not really for me. It just feels a bit unfinished. I've felt the same with most treyarch games. I feel that IW have that extra bit of polish that just feels right.

At 36 your reaction time loss should be minimal. The main reason people aren't as good as they get older is because they don't play it as much as they used to.

I had an odd one in this respect - mid 20s to mid 30s definitely noticed my reaction times dropping off in gaming, but since 40, now 43, they seem to have almost returned to what they used to be - I think part of that is increased experience/instinct is short cutting the time on some reactions.

I think a lot of it was changing from playing a lot more reactively on instinct to applying more thought, which slowed things down, and then optimising the thinking process with experience.

Not played CoD much ever, last similar was BF4 gunplay mode

smooth sailing for a beta
but ... bit boring? gamemodes are similar and quite repetitive
and I suspect it won't get better? always chaotically running and sliding around the map with no hint of teamwork?

who pays money for this?
