Call of duty MW2 strict nat problem

Hi

I have decided to start playing MW 2 again but I keep getting strict NAT type.

I have tried everything I can think of and every answer I have found via google but still I get strict NAT.

This is what I have tried so far

Forward ports 28960 – 29000
Enabled UPnP
I have enabled DMZ
I have disabled routers firewall
I have made sure windows firewall allows it by ticking private and public boxes
I have disabled firewall
I have disabled my anti-virus

When I play any of the CODs on Xbox I have always got open NAT.

I am playing it via steam and my router is a TalkTalk Huawei HG523a if this helps.

Is there anything else I should try? Any help will be much appreciated

For some reason I haven't been able to play MW2 online for several years, and this is on a variety of computers, internet providers and routers. I could play it for the first 6 months or so i had it (not necessarily the first six months it was out!) but after a while it just stopped working...

Only thing you haven't tried that sometimes worked for me was verifying game cache on steam.

Mine doesn't work either with the same issue. All other games I have tried work fine (including other CODs).

Shows what a pile of crock**** IWnet was and still is. Kind of glad it lead to the downfall of Infinity Ward to be honest.

didn't think you could play MW2 on line anymore....I installed it a couple of months ago and couldn't find any servers.

With my strict NAT I have played a few games all with foreigners though.
Most of the time it just keeps searching for games though :mad:

I think its a bug that never got patched? but not sure cause mine always changes from moderate to open, changes every time I play

So I decided to reset my router and just before I decided to change all the routers settings again I thought lets see what happens if I launch MW2 without any changes.

I could not believe it OPEN NAT

Have you tried 4d1? It is so much better than the original game (mods, less cheaters, rules etc)
