I gota say i've found all the liqure i've tried to be terible even the girly ones.
 
Brugal rum is quite good (comes in lots of varieties too) and I have a bottle of Barcelo Anejo "Ron Superior" which is alright too. But then Rum is best mixed with coke so you can't really taste it ;)

As for Vodka, get some real Vodka. Not Smirnoff, try Stolichnya, Russky Standardt, Moskovskya, Bols.... loads of good Vodkas out there but the stuff I like best so far is from Russia and Poland.

It depends how you're going to drink it. With coke or orange you'd best go for the original. With water or straight then flavoured :)
 
Looks like i'll be getting some orange flavoured Grey Goose then :D - Vladivar and Smirnoff has really made me hate Vodka but i've not had the privilege to try proper vodka, so i'm looking forward to this :D
