calling all teachers..

My wife who is 6 months pregnant gets no frees and has to get from one side of the school to the other for classes. People like that make me sick.
Although I'm not saying you're a liar, I find "no frees" very difficult to believe. Mainly because, in a state school at least, it contravenes the workforce agreement of several years ago, and is therefore virtually illegal. Are you sure she doesn't have gained time in some other respect? Is she part-time with an afternoon off?

My step brother is a teacher at a private school and altough he is on a pretty good (higher than most teachers) pay. He works long hours and it seems very stressful altough his job compared to normal high school does differ in some ways and he takes on more responsibility than some.

Off topic, how's the 1,500 words coming :p?

She is part time at the moment. But no afternoon off. She works three whole days.

Even when she was working full time she only had one free.

They keep saying that they are going to work something out but two teachers in her department have gone off with stress (wonder why)

Yet the department head still has frees, which by the look of the other persons comments, seems to be a normal thing for department heads to look after themselves first.

You REALLY need to tell her to contact her union representative, providing they're a good and forthright example. The school gets extra money from the government to cope within their staffing structure to allow for PPE time, so them not providing it is pretty outrageous. You'll find they'll **** a brick and things will move on quite quickly.
