Hot.

Dry.
Wet.

Having motorcycled all over europe for years, ^ this tbh.

Once went through Belgium over the Ardennes in May and it started to snow!

You would be mad to cut out the Alps however because you dont know what the weather is doing. The whole place being so mountainous is a microclimate anyway. You need to check weather reports on the day you ascend/cross the mountains really with one of the specialist weather sites for that particular place.

Go for it. You wont regret doing the alps on a motorcycle, its nirvana.
