I was working at a military wedding the other week and there was a guy there that looked pretty hardcore. Can anyone tell me what he does and what his medals are for?

Before he took it off he was wearing a red beret with a hot air balloon with wings insignia.

Looks like he's in the parachute regiment, don't know about the medals. They may just be standard operational medals for serving in certain conflicts.

He's a Para, they are pretty hardcore tbh.

General Service Medal - Northern Ireland (hard to make out the text, but guessing this)
Operational Service Medal - Afghanistan (With Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service)
Queen's Golden Jubilee
Queen's Diamond Jubilee

Strictly no...

the medals he has are for taking part in the campaigns. He doesn't seem to be showing any for particular achievement.
