Yes, I do rate it. Wireless is great and I never have to restart it. It's got a lot of nice features as well.

I think there's an AC version. I've thought about upgrading but the next time I look at a new home router I'll more than likely get something from Cisco/Juniper and buy a separate wireless access point.

Looking at the specs, it would seem that the one you have would be idea. I live in a bungalow to don't see the next one up being a benefit.

Seriously beginning to doubt this ****ing NAS.

I've failed at setting up a mapped drive, not that i need to it's just convenient, and now when I try and run EXEs from the NAS, I get a connection failed - I can however copy to the NAS.

What in gods green earth is going on!! I'm so fed up of these stupid little issues.

What you're describing is the only issue I had with mine.

This is the fix..

Go to the share settings on synology, then disable. "Enable SMB2 and large MTU"

Turn those two things off, I can't remember if they're part of the same option. Let me know if you can't find it, I'll take a look on mine

OK, I've disabled them but I still can't download via chrome to my downloads drive on the NAS, I get 'Download Error.

I also cannot run any exe files without them giving a connection issue.

Will restart it, but doubt it'll work!

OK, the issue with network connections failing when running exe files has been resolved, that was down to the stupid option MS added for 'Sync Offline Files'. Once disabled, it worked just fine.
