Camcorder advice needed

One make of camcorder I can recommend is a Panasonic .I have the now old nv-GS11 , great picture quality , nice colours etc and has never given me an ounce of trouble .There are some nice newer Panny models out there .
 
i bought a Sony DVR-HC35 from a indian food sounding electrical store on a internet pricematch, advertised in shop at £300, i got it for £229, you get a docking station and remote etc and for the price it's as good as you'll get.
 
I have been looking at that one. Don't you mean the Sony DCR-HC35? Looks great. Are you happy with it? Easy to transfer Video to PC?

Also, do you need the docking station to transfer the video's to the pc?
