Hi guys,
i am thinking of purchasing a comcorder but am unsure of a few things:
1) which is better (for capacity, speed and quality) - HDD, CF, DVD SD card etc?
2) approximately how many hours video content can you store on each format (I know this is dependent on capacity - but let's assume 4 GB as standard)?
Thanks

HDD recording is probably better for cost/recording capacity i.e. you will get a bigger capacity for the price; But you are at the mercy of the capacity, reach that and you will need to transfer the footage to a second device before you can continue. SD cards will give you unlimited capacity but will get expensive. I have a 60gig HDD Camcorder which gives me around 5 hours of HD recording the same capacity in SD cards would be scarily expensive (£200+), especially as the higher class cards are recommended, i.e. class 6 etc
