Camera vans on bridges.

Can you tell the two types apart? I saw a van earlier, parked up with black glass doors pointing directly at me. A few yards down the road there was an Evo VIII (I think) cop car waiting in a lay-by.

Got examples of pics? Not too worried as I'm sure I was doing less than 40mph but still curious.

Do the vans that just get info from your registration also record your speed?

See the sticky :p

ANPR will have the police after you drive past the van. Speed camera vans don't have any police about.

Really hate these things, I have seen people slam on their brakes on a motorway when they see any kind of vehicle waiting on a bridge.

This is the problem, they are instilling the instinct to brake, everytime you see a white van anywhere...

People don't even check their speed, I have seen people brake from 50 to 40 in a 60 limit when they spotted a white van parked in a layby...

The whole episode of safety cameras is creating more and more dangerous habits by drivers, and has not reduced road casualties..

The scheme is a total failure except for one thing, it has raised a lot of money, and got a few people off the road...

There's a speed camera by me on a 40mph dual carriageway. Level with the camera is a 40mph repeater.

If I had a pound for every **** that has braked to 30 in front of me, I could buy a couple of tanks of diesel

What brand of cereal do these idiots get their licences with?

Toward you mate, they have to have facial iD to do you now as so many people said there were friends in the car, they make that journey a lot and they dont know who was driving.
