Tried the 50mm?dod said:Not very well though, or at least mine isn't. I've tried different lenses, different filters and still haven't had anything approaching acceptable.

Thats a tad annoying. Wonder how the the 30D will fair.dod said:Yep, along with the 28-105, 70-200 and even the 100-400. There's mixed reports on the 20D's some get great results and others seem to be like mine. I miss the 10D for that.
Worse for IR photography, I think. Canon seem to be getting more adept at cutting out these wavelengths with each new range of cameras. Maybe they will release a 30Da, but I doubt it - the 20Da can't have sold in huge numberscyKey said:Thats a tad annoying. Wonder how the the 30D will fair.
Ive said this for a long time now. The 10D is the best one for IR. The 20s got a real stubborn filter that requires such long exposures. Its not even worth trying unless the sun is blazing. 50mm F1.8 has been the best to use but its not got a wide enough field for what I enjoydod said:Not very well though, or at least mine isn't. Nikon D70. It produces wonderful Infra Red shotsEvil-Penguin said:Don't suppose anyone knows of any lists of cameras that are suitable for infra red photography? I was thinking of upgrading from the s5500, and it's something i'm interested in, and obviously don't want to ruin all chances of doing it. Also has anyone tried this with the fuji s5500 (my current camera)? Would be interested if this is suitable. Thanks

I think I've seen a bit. I've seen ST8's and it looks very nice.hoodmeister said:Yeah, dunno if you've seen any of my IR stuff mate, but I use a D70 for it all.
Out of the current dSLR's it's probably the best for IR without modification
