Can a 360 be used without HD Connection?

Dumb question maybe but due to the new GTA game and me being a fan of the GTA series I want to buy a 360 but I dont have a HD TV, does the system come with a normal scart connector I can use?

Yeah, my mate runs it with scart on a SDTV.

Yeah, it comes with composite cables and a SCART adapter.

Good to here but the only thing putting me off this console right now is I keep hearing this thing about red ring of death resulting in a dead console, is this a common problem?

On the older ones it is yes - but it is covered under a special warranty and will be replaced.

Mind you can hook it up to a pc monitor also if you buy the vga cable.

make sure you get a new HDMI Falcon CPU model, should be a lot more reliable than older models.

If I were you I'd buy the VGA cable and hook it upto your PC monitor, HD IMO makes a massive difference. A smaller screen in HD is better than a bigger screen in SD... but that's just my 2p

Not on new ones.

If you don't have a HDTV, buy a VGA cable and use your PC monitor, instant HD graphics

Totally agree, I play on my 20 inch PC monitor and the jump in quality is massive.

Yeah its perfectly fine, I ran SD for a few months before getting my HDTV and its didnt look too bad, a little blurred, but thats to be expected.

Dont forget about audio, sounds obvious but youll need somewhere separate to plug the sound in to if you go the VGA route.
