So a straight actor has been cast in a film portraying a trans character, and as you can guess the response from the trans community is what you'd expect.

So, uhm I can't help but feel if those Twitter comments were directed to a black guy playing a white role there would be a whole heep of trouble about the comments.

This whole gender thing is just so toxic, you speak up about it and get labelled as whatever derogatory term they please.

I dont recognise the term cisgender as a legitimate word so I can't comment

Oh I recognise this urban dictionary definition of the word:

A derogatory term used by members of the trans community to refer to all the disgusting people in this world who don't hate their genitalia.

Yes Craig, a straight person.

Some people need to just shut up and keep their stupid ass feelings to themselves! It's getting ridiculous.

People who play identity politics seem to be perpetually butt hurt.

Plenty of straight people play gay people and vice versa, don't see why a regular person playing a trans person is an issue.

Imagine that one time, black person played someone white in a historical context.
Or the time the Gay guy playing Mr Sulu for ever!
Imagine an actor acting.

Yes 'acting'

What world do we live in where things like this are causing problems...I never heard the term cisgender up until now. What nonsense!
