Just not black enough, a bit of anodising can sort that though :p

Interesting, seems the pictures don't do it justice though - looks rather charcoal to me, was the case originally black when purchased or was it silver and you had the whole lot anodised at the same time?

No they don't do it justice at all.. camera phone pics and weird lighting in my shed... it was black and I've had the insides done black to match but the colour match is 100% bang on. Nicely matt finished not brushed obviously and I think that makes it look even better.. just trying desperately not to scratch it now!
 
well its just the same as normal anodised alu.. I've not managed to scratch my pc65b in any meaningful way and god knows I've tried :p
 
Some of those little read card washers you get with mobo standoffs would help stop the screws from scratching.
