Right then quick thought. Im sitting on the sofa with my macbook, but have got my iphone plugged into the stereo via head phone socket playing tunes.
Is there anyway i can control the iphone from my macbook. I mean im not in the mood for some of the music so i cant be botherd getting up every 2 mins to hit the forward button on the iphone.
So just wondered if there was any way to control it from where i sit?

Thanks

Couldn't you have your iphone playing music from your MBP (assuming you use that to sync) via streaming and then you can change it from within iTunes on your MBP?

Well the libraries are the same, all music on the macbook is on the iphone. I just had the iphone plugged into my stereo and wanted to be able to skip songs while using my mac.
Not sure how things work to be honest, so things need explaining simply for me lol.

Well the other way is easy enough, what you want to do sounds a bit bizarre though (you want the big bulky laptop to act as a remote for the small pocket-able phone basically?)

Well its not that bad lol, im sitting here surfing the net whilst i have the iphone connected with a cable to my amp. Now the cable is short so the iphone has to sit right next to the amp. Now rather than get up every 2 mins when i dont like/or want to listen to a certain song, i was wondering if my mac could skip to the next one.
Would probably be better of with the airport thingy, but aint got £80 to hand lol.
