Can a monitor with a ips panel be configured to work for games with dark backgrounds?

I'm going to get myself a new monitor with an ips panel because the motion blur of my va panel is too problematic for me. Problem is that I play a lot of games with dark backgrounds such as space sims. Everything I read about ips panels suggest that this is problematic. Thanks

My main game is very dark and I have a 1440p ips. I run the monitor on pretty low brightness. It isn't perfect black or even particularly close but it doesn't annoy me. There is some backlight bleed which shows the limits of ips, I'm looking forward to microled panels, been waiting a long time.

A lot of them have a "black equaliser" setting
Though they may call it
By another name
I just got a mini led display
And to be honest
Proper HDR on that and mini led
Means my dark areas are even harder to see in
Than my secondary ips monitor
The ips I don't particularly notice any back-light bleed

If possible go to a shop
Where you can see monitors in person?
Everyone has different eyesight
What one person likes another may not

Thanks For the response. Unfortunately i don't have access to any stores where i live and can't afford mini leds.
Just noticed your location says Australia
If so yeah probably more expensive out there
The mini led I paid £500
27 inch 1440p 165hz
Prices definitely dropping on mini led
Was half the cost of oled

As for ips bleed
I have never noticed it on any of my ips
I guess if I sat in a dark room
And displayed only black on my monitor
It might be there
But in actual usage that's not what I do
