As above really, was thinking of getting a Asus Xonar DG for my PC, with the aim of having my PC speakers connected via the 3.5mm out and my amp via optical cable.
Reason I ask is that my PC will soon be hooked up to my TV, so when watching videos from my PC on my TV I can turn off my pc speakers and have sound (DTS passthrough) coming through my amp. Then when I want to just use my PC speakers, will turn them on and my amp off.
Is this possible or will I have to switch between the outputs using software/drivers?
