Can A Username Be Reclaimed?

I asked Freefaller to change my username to "Hutchy" but he said it was taken. Im 90% certain it was the first username I picked when I first joined this forum for some help years ago. I really want the username back but dont have access to the old email account it was registered to.

I need to be honest and say Im not entirely sure it is mine, can one of the mods check if its inactive and somehow change my current one to Hutchy? I'd like to lose this stupid alias if possible.
