Can all SATA HDD's be used in a Raid Array ?

I am going to set up a NAS likely running raid 5. Its a 4 bay enclosure and I am going to put 4 x 1 TB disks in.

I am thinking of eith putting samsung f1's in there or the seagate barracuda green drives. The only thing i am not sure of is if these drives will support what I want to do ? I seem to remember reading somewhere that some HDDs can't be used in raid but I can't remember where I read that or if there was actually any truth to it.

in theory any drives can be run in a raid in practice some western digital's had problems due to a timeout retry bug, but I think that has been resolved

I never heard of a sata HDD that cant be put in a raid array..... but that does not mean there are'nt any, lol
