Hey guys, i have a m2n4-sli board which is a great board unfortunately for my case cable management it has one big downside...

the atx 24-pin connector on it is on the left hand side near the ports rather than on the left near the ide/sata connectors which means i have to have a huge cable running across front of the motherboard which looks horrible.

Any ideas how i could get around this? i have 2 x 15cm extensions too for it if needed, also here's a pic my cable atm to show you how horrid it looks and hopefully think of a way to move it around :)

Thanks,

Actually don't think it looks that bad to be honest, but if you want a few ideas then either tuck it under the PSU as it emerges then drop it vertically down, which should at least mean you don't need the extensions.

Or if you're feeling adventurous/bored/brave then extend all of the wires from your PSU by splicing/soldering new wires on and then sleeve braid the lot for a real tidy finish.

personally I'd just leave it as I say it doesn't look that bad.

Cheers G-Dubs.

I tried it dropping down and it looks equally the same as it coming from the side.

Also as for the soldering yeah i'm pretty good with that, i was thinking of soldering the wires onto the back of the board ... but it's a long job lol

Thanks,
Liam.

Just had a good crack at the cabling ...

Here's what it looks like now :)

(p.s - the atx connector problem was staring me in the face don't even need the extensions now lol)

Personally I'd braid it, but other than that it's looking good to me! It's far tidier in there than mine! Well done. :P
