Need to replace my rear wheel bearings on a planet x Carbon Clincher wheel. Their site says it takes 6802RU bearings which all but dont exist as far as i can tell, there are some specialist Japanese ones about for nearly £20 each (i need 3!) but many other bearings featuring 6802 so im just wondering what exactly do the codes mean? id be happy to use other bearings if compatible. TIA

This is from memory, but the last 2 characters bear no reference to size and are just to do with seals IIRC. 6802 is a standard of the shelf size. Some Enduro 6802 will be around £6/8 from memory, and will decent.

Edit. Just looked, RU appears to be non contact seal giving better rolling resistance. Day to day non comp riding RS is more than fine. As above, Enduro bearings are decent.

Enduro bearings are average - nothing special and usually carry a bit of a price premium.

NTN, SKF, FAG are all better bearings for less money.

I tend to use Hambini for the seal info - https://www.hambini.com/support/bearings/bearing-technical-information/

He's a touch expensive to buy from, but always quick delivery and usually always has stock if you're short on time. If you've got time then order elsewhere.
