can anyone help me with this oblivion problem?

i just upgraded from a 8800gt to a 4870x2 but for some reason oblivion is running worse on the new card than it did on my old one

it also has a weird graphical problem where there is a sort of flickering blue shadow around things

i tried my best to capture it on video so you can see

if you watch in high quality then you will see it on the right edge of the ruins

there is also a problem when i hilight a button to load or save, the text vanishes so its just a blank button, i can live with that one but this is really annoying

im starting to think its a problem with the new card because i just tried again and it didnt happen, its still performing worse too

Hmmmm, not seen that before - which catalyst drivers are you using?

Have you tried using an older driver, or the Omega Ati drivers - see if you get the same fault? Could narrow it down a bit as to whats wrong.

Have you tried other games, like crysis, or even just running 3d mark ?

Is anything overclocked?

well im using the latest drivers & its all at stock speeds, i also notice a strange sound when i run games, i dont think its the fan because when i rest in oblivion it sort of ticks each time a hour passes & the sound stops when oblivion starts to stutter

ill run 3dmark and post the score, any idea what sort of score i should be looking to get with my system?

well i started to run 3d mark but the graphics were a complete mess, there is definetly something wrong here, ill make a video of it

i also got some problems with the quantmn of solace demo, the screen would flicker black every now and then

Well run drivercleaner first to make sure there are no traces of the old nvidia drivers, reinstall the ATI drivers, and if it's still doing it, then yeah, RMA it.
