Can anyone help with these abstract patterns?

Actually, thinking about it, does it really make that much difference?

If you get an interview, take the interview and then get an offer, then you're part of their quota of offers. But let's say that you decline their offer. They'll make the offer to person x, from their waiting list.

But, if you decline the interview in the first place, then person y gets the interview. Let's say person y gets in and they accept it, then person x will not get in by virtue of that offer being declined.

In both cases, someone misses out on the opportunity to have an offer to study medicine.

TheCenturion, how are you getting on??

Hello buddy. It's tough, very tough. They just fire information at us and don't stop :p

But since Jan we've moved onto scenarios, and so the teaching is now much more organised and the lecture content follows a linear path so I'm definitely enjoying it a lot more now.

How is the toon?

Just as intense I'd say, stupid amount of reading needed outside of lectures to keep up with everything! All exams and assignments have been fine though, which is nice.

Recently dawned on me that I have 6 weeks of lectures now (before a month off), then 3 weeks of lectures (before a fortnight of revision before end of year exams) then that's the first year done.

Also looking forward to the 4 month summer holiday!

At least we've both survived so far though! You only have 2 weeks of revision till end of year exams? Ouch.
