Can anyone pls help with this problem?

Hi,
When a friends computer boots up into windows xp she keeps getting this message-

Rundll
Error loading c:/ programs~1 mywebs~1\bar 1.bin\MWSBAR.dll

The specifed file cannot be found.

Any ideas how to get rid of this?

Go to start/run and type 'msconfig' and go to the startup tab. Untick anything that shouldn't be there.

Sounds like a piece of spyware, try running adaware or spy bot.

Yeah, doesn't sound like spyware in itself but some kind of search bar or something for IE which could contain spyware.

Maybe you could use Ad-Aware and Spybot - Search & Destroy etc to do a full scan of this computer to pick anything else up.

Looks like mywebsearch, which does get picked up by most antispyware software
