Can anyone recommend which thermal paste to use

Coollaboratory liquid pro/ultra are the best by far. But you have to be very careful when applying it. And it is a bit harder to clean off if you remove the cooler. Ive found it to be 5c ono better than top end conventional pastes.

Cf3 is indeed very good for a conventional paste. But personally i couldnt go back to using such types.

I'm not gonna argue with the experience of Helios in these matters, but I will say that Gelid at least consistently beat AS5 and Alpenfohn Snow Cannon (or whatever it is they supply with K2's) by at least 2°C in the tests I did and gets the thumbs up from me fwiw.

Got some CFIII on the way for a rebuild, so we'll see how that goes :)

Not sure if worth the potential headache and downsides of the liquid ones like getting them to adhere and difficult removal and so on just for 3-5c temp drop.
Ic diamond or gelid or thermalright one I'd go with unless these stories of people not being able to get the liquid to stick are ultra rare ?

I was actually gonna say that the Liquid Ultra is hard to clean off but Coollaboratory now have a cleaning kit that seems to do a good job.

Thermal was pre applied to my Cooler, but still bought some, I bought Arctic Silver 5, which i've yet to use 2 years on :D

P.S Happy 900th Post To me, 100 more to go :D:D:D

Used to swear by Arctic Silver but moved to non-conductive to avoid possible problems - Am now on MX4 - easy to use and decent cooling :)

Overall there does not appear to be much difference between most of the decent ones.
