Can browse but not download?! Wireless

Hi,
I have a Netgear DM111P connected to the Dlink wireless 'Gamer Lounge' Router. Myself and a computer accross the landing are connected wired to the router and everything is perfect. The computer downstairs is connected to it wirelessly and I can browse the net as much as I want and it is great, normal speed. But when I try and download files the file download box either comes up with transfer rate blank, or if im lucky I might get 30kb done then nothing it just stays there doing nothing.

Any ideas?

Are you in halls?

I think some Uni's have ways of preventing you from downloading on their routers...

Or that could just be rubbish

Could be some sort of port problem on the router, try setting a DMZ to the wireless machine, if that doesnt work try plugging it in with a wire to test it. If it still doesnt work then its something to do with the settings on the machine, possably firewall

I will try the DMZ thanks, and in answer it does work wired on that PC.
