Hi i currently have 2 260gtx maxcore overclocked and watercooled cards. Can i add a 3rd and put my own block on or does it have to be exactly the same specs, or does it just have to be the same model? Thanks.

Normally, I don't think it matters, as all cards are made pretty much the same, but with so many differences between the 260's like 55nm and 65nm, it's probably best to go with the same card as the one you had last time. Don't quote me on that though.

Also, what motherboard do you have?

Thanks for the replys guys i game at 5040x1050 over 3 samsung T260hds using triplehead. The motherboard is EVGA 790i SLi *** digital.
So what bfg card would work with my existing cards if i just add a waterblock to it? I mean will the card overclock ok to my existing cards specs and does it have to be o/d to work or will it just work being the same type of card a standard BFG 260 GTX Maxcore.

Cheers guys.

Has to be clocked up as SLi can't run independant speeds, it should clock up automatically though if you have the faster card in in the Primary slot (and the card in the second is the same speed as Primary as welll).

I'm an AMD boy, but I would think that Nvidia's equivalent of CCC should do the trick. Their card management utility should do the trick. Chris.

Ok thanks and would the card clock easily up to my existing 2 cards once i put the water block onto it?

Not true actually - infact a good many people run SLI with different speeds on the cards without realising* - its not reccomended tho as even a small difference can result in noticeable jerkiness.

* From comparing results even many respected reviewers have fallen foul of this giving SLI a lower result than it should.
