can i change my username ?

Slight thread hijack...

Out of curiosity - how do I go about changing my registered forum email address?

If I go to:

user control panel > edit email and password > it has my old email address, if I try to change it to my new one (gmail) and submit (with password) I get a message saying:

The administrator has banned your email address. To contact the administrator click here

If I go to the here bit - I have an webpage where I can submit a request to the admin, I have tried this on and off over the last few months explaining the situation but nothing has ever been done to change my email address?

Any ideas?

read the faq, gmail emails hotmail emails (most free ones) aren't allowed.

You must use one of the following types of email account when registering otherwise your account will not be approved: an ISP-based e-mail address, an academic email address, a workplace or business email address or a personal domain email address if it can be verified (authorisation may be delayed).

i would like to change my username too as its pretty rubbish! someone had taken kempy and i dint know what to do. Maybe an admin could change the other kempy to something else and change mine to kempy! im obviously better.
 
Yeah, you need a non-free e-mail address such as from an ISP, education establishment or your own domain. So they can track you down and send the boys round.
 
i was trying to do this the other day never thought about posting about it.

May i have mine changed to GTanny please (same as my PSN and former 360 tag)

Oh well I have ISP email but its very usefull being able to be PC free for accessing mail

Will probably manage without it then

I always assumed I'd joined with a hotmail account, seems not. It was a while ago now!
