Can i clock this any higher?

Tried for 4 and failed, it posted but wouldnt boot into windows :(

More VCore required maybe?

Despite people posting 70C as a sensible limit, Intel has built-in a CPU saving system, and it doesn't kick in until over 100C, so keep going:D

Yep, you're right - the 650i Ultra chipset runs out of puff quite early for these CPUs. Looks like that's your lot then. Sorry.

My lot until 2 weeks time when i get paid and get a new motherboard yeah :P

If ya have any ideas of boards sub £100 which would be good, let me know as it would be well appreciated :)

Here not used it personally but if its like its P35 brother the P5K-E will be a cracking board... In general the Asus Boards are excellent clockers and very stable

My asus board i had for my 3200+ was good too, might try flog this 650i one to my brother seeing as he wants to build a pc

Yeah i know it only hit 20% load max using super pi :p blue screened from prime though, so guessing need the extra volts/more stable board =[

yup and your getting close to the "safe" 24/7 limit with those voltages... i would guess you probably need another .5 / .75 BIOS vcore, and then you need to watch those temps :) cause at those volts gets really hot

yep, but i have reached the 1.6 limit on my board atm :), i fooled my brother into buying me motherboard off me for £10 over what i bought it for so should be able to get a asus board during week :p

to be honest if you want to get prime stable I would drop the clock to 3.6ish and go for an 8 hour prime... asses the temps you are getting and go from there then you will have an idea of how much you have to play with in regards to temps to go any higher..

assumming your case has good airflow then after about 30 mins of prime you should have an idea of what your load temps are like.. then its just fingers crossed for 8 hours

well by the temps i just had in about 30 seconds i better look for another cooler.... :p

going up to 92 aint good on 3.55!

might be cause i forgot to drop the volts back down...woops

Right then, now i sorted voltages it is still on 3.55 and is between 59 and 54 depending which cores i look at, taking a guess the cooler might need some lapping/replace with a TRUE :p

and my case airflow is standard P182 airflow, could probably do with replacing fans, just idk what to get ^^
