I have a belkin adsl wireless modem which actually works very well - Orange have just upgraded my line from 512k to 8meg and sent me a Livebox!

Id love to use the VOIP function but not the livebox as it does not have WPA protection and functions seem limited.

Is there anyway of using the Livebox connected to the Belkin router so that the Belkin gives me wireless ?

Even better... could I use the belkin as adsl router modem and wireless - and have the livebox connected thru wireless to the belkin for Voip and put livebox in another room?

BTW I see a USB port on the Livebox - whats this for? Could I plug in an USB harddrive to us on the network?

In theory you should be able to do it.

Connect as normal with the livebox.

Disable DHCP on the Belkin.
Make sure the Belkin's IP address is on the same subnet as the livebox (poss not necc) but a different IP (very necc.).
Run an ethernet cable from the livebox to the Belkin.
Enable the Belkin's wireless.
In theory, you should be able to connect to the Belkin's wireless and use that as a switch to get onto the livebox's internet.
You may need to set your wireless IP to static.

That will probably work. I've done it with two netgears but I'm not sure if it works with everything.
