Can I cut this part of the PCB off my graphics card?

I can't really cut the case - the PCB in the red circle in the image below pushes the light box to the left a couple millimetres. I'd need to remove the entire "L" bracket that runs the length of the case (marked in green), but this holds the tempered glass of the case itself in place.
I think my best bet is to cut a small notch out of the light box, and if that goes south then I just find some other way to cover up the huge "Lian Li / Der-8auer" logo.

Yeah vertical GPU bracket also has the advantage that you can gaze on your card. To me that part of the card just looks like a ground. If I was a betting man, which I'm not, I'd say it was safe to cut.
