i have spyware thats managed to build its self into IE

Is there a way i can disable it but still use my documents etc, so i can use firefox instead with no popups ?

cheers

Obviously you would be better off sorting IE out before you disable it.

However if you choose to completely remove IE it can create problems in other areas of windows xp.

If you don't want to use internet explorer anymore just remove the default program entry for it in default programs fix the spyware problems and set firefox as default.

ie is used for file explorer etc so better off just trying to remove the spyware, most effective but might be unpractical way is just to reformat, no risk of traces being left behind which virus scanners cant remove.

Just a side question... is there any way of setting MSN to use Firefox instead of IE when you click to view your inbox?
