can i force a game to always use one core?

i just started playing the last remnant & noticed that the load times were terrible, after doing some searching i found out that if i set it to use one core then they drop from about 30secs to around 5 so its a massive improvement

only problem is that i have to go to talk manager each time i play the game so is there a way to make it always launch with one core? :confused:

If you have an AMD Athlon dual core processor, you can download an optimiser for help with games that don't play nice with 2 processors. Wouldn't recommend it for a non AMD non dual core processor though.

thanks for the replies but i couldnt get those methods to work, im running windows 7 64bit with a e8600 but there was no dllcache folder

i used to do it in task manager . in call of duty uo assign one core its a winner

i wanted to avoid doing that each time i launched the game as the settings revert back to normal
