My 80gig hdd is coming upto 5 years old now and it's been fantastic. I don't want to find out 1 day it suddenly won't boot up, so i want to know if i can make a perfect copy of my current operating system, settings, software everything onto a new one without the need to reinstall windows.
Probably the easiest way i can think of is to install it into another pc along with the new one, and copy all the windows files over. Only problem is, will it boot up when i put the new one back inside my pc?
