Electricians, help!

I've Googled this to death and found very little info. My shaver socket is currently on the opposite side of the bathroom to my sink. I want to plug a water flosser in and use it at the sink. Nowhere sells a lead that simply extends this (which is the probable answer to my question) but I can buy a shaver male and female plug plus flex from my DIY shop and build my own.

Is this acceptably safe? It will be packed away after use. Or is this an obvious no no?

Safe possibly...

Advisable probably not...

Unless the extension clips together I cannot see it being much use as it will just come apart!

As for making said cable, just make sure you use a good quality Flex.

You can get an adaptor do you can plug it into a regular 3 pin socket if that's any good to you? You'll have to shave in a different room though I suppose

Did you ever get a solution to your extension lead problem?
I have just bought a replacement electric toothbrush and the 2 pin lead is shorter than the previous one and doesn't reach the shaver socket from any decent standing place in the bathroom!
I also have searched the Web for a supplier of an extension without much luck.
Keen to hear how you managed.

Funnily enough, I have only just taken delivery of a long piece of flex and a water proof connection block. I'm going to just cut the wire and attach the other cable. I did open the unit up to see if I could just fix a new flex into it but it meant soldering connections to the solenoid (?) and I don't have a solder.

I'll post pics and tell you how I got on.

I've always needed up charging shavers and tooth brushes via a 3 pin adaptor elsewhere because the wire is always too short and very thick and inflexible or some stupid coil thing that pulls itself off the shelf once you let go of it.
