Can i manually upgrade a custom made system within warranty?

So a friend of mine is looking to get into PC gaming, and i suggested he order a custom built ryzen 3 2200g PC with no dedicated graphics aside from the on board Vega 8, and then buy a dedicated GPU a few weeks later due to finance reasons. I would then install the GPU for him.

Would I be voiding the warranty of the system doing this, or does it cover self done upgrades? Thanks.

Check with OCUK, installing a GPU is not normally considered something to break a warranty.

some places might be okay, some might not and also would depend on the upgrade and how much it would impact the included power supply.

i had a pre-built from somewhere else years ago and was 3-6 months by the time i opened it for upgrades, didnt have issues, not that i couldnt fix it myself anyways.
